This event consists of a sport adventure race (2-3 hour adventure race) and an extreme adventure race (8-12 hour adventure race). Both races start at 8:00 am. In sport adventure race, 2-person teams or solo racers will be challenged on a marked course by 10-17 miles mountain biking, 3-5 miles trail running, and mystery events. In extreme adventure race, 3-person teams will be challenged by mountain biking, paddling, land navigation/trekking, and possible mystery events. Extreme racers must bring their own boats, paddles and life jackets. Entry fees for sport adventure race are $75 per person and $150 per team by Feb 25 and $85 per person and $170 per team from Feb 25 to race day. Entry fees for extreme adventure race are $130 per person and $390 per team by Feb 25 and $140 per person and $420 per team from Feb 25 to race day. Tech shirts are guaranteed for pre-registration and may be purchased for $15 for late registration until they are run out. All racers must have a current USARA racing license which can be purchased at race registration. Pint glass souvenir will be given to all finishers. Tech shirts are guaranteed to pre-registered by the 2 week cutoff. Awards and prizes are given out based on field depth. Winning Extreme Coed team will receive $400.00 towards their teams entry fee into the 2012 USARA Adventure Race National Championship ($400 from Terra Firma Racing). Top 4 Extreme Coed teams qualify for the 2012 USARA Adventure Race National Championships. Also, the top 4 Male & top 4 Female Teams qualify for nationals this year.
