Description
The Western Mass Distance Project XC Festival will mark the third event in the USATF New England Grand Prix Series. The event is taking place in the beautiful venue of Stanley Park, Westfield, MA. The Park is home to the annual James Early Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University, and will be home to the NCAA Division III New England Championships this fall. The course is a mix of open fields and packed trails with some hills. The course is a perfect representation of New England cross-country and some fast racing can be expected.
The prize structure is as follows:
Male/Female Open Divisions (8k & 5k respectively): 1st - $200; 2nd - $125; 3rd - $75
Male/Female Masters Divisions (8k & 5k respectively): 1st - $125; 2nd - $75
USATF Team Competition Male/Female: 1st - $150; 2nd - $100
Non-cash age group awards will be awarded to 1st & 2nd place age group winners.
