A North & South Battle in Antietam for Fitness and Fun
BENEFITTING & SUPPORTING COMMUNITY SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR AREA CHILDREN & FAMILIES STRICKEN BY DISASTER NATIONALLY
***REGISTRATION LIMITED TO THE FIRST 800 ENTRANTS***
Where: Antietam Battlefield, close to the Visitors Center in Sharpsburg, Maryland.
Course: A beautiful run through Antietam Battlefield and a New-Age Battle of Fitness & Fun! Entrants compete on a dual race course North & South style. Same start, same finish, but North & South each run a separate course. Choose your side when registering! (Course maps located @ www.kwmarchforkids.com) Racine MultiSports providing chip timing & results.
Packet Pick up Friday, March 23, 2012- Keller Williams @ Valley Mall 3-8:00pm (beside DQ) or on race day starting @ 6:30am.
Early bird registration until 2-10-2012 will earn you a ticket for a chance at random prizes after the awards ceremony
Fees: $25.00 - 5K until 3-1-2012
$30.00 - 5K until 3-23-2012
$35.00 - 5K Race Day
Free 1K Kids Fun Run
Shirts: All pre-registered 5K entrants post marked by 3-4-2012 or online www.active.com or www.kwmarchforkids.com will receive a t-shirt. All 1K Fun Run children will receive a finisher ribbon.
Awards: 5K Awards: 1st: $100 gift card 2nd: $75 gift card 3rd: $50 gift card
Gift cards for both female and male overall top 3 finishers.
Top 3 finishers in age group will receive medals.
All 1K Kids Fun Run children receive a special finisher ribbon.
Extra Info: Water stations provided on the course; post-race refreshments; music. Complete official results posted after race. Bringing any NEW sports-related equipment or making monetary donations to KW March for Kids Health
gets you a ticket for a chance at random prizes after the awards ceremony.
Directions: From Route I-70: Exit 29 South on Rt 65 towards Sharpsburg to Antietam Battlefield on the left. Lets preserve the Battlefield! We'd like as few cars as possible on the beautiful grounds of Antietam Battlefield. Find a race buddy and ride together! Be Green!
