Test yourself on one of the best trail 5K's in Northern Illinois--this is a very scenic and challenging course!
The Scamper supports the mission of Severson Dells and promotes sustainability. It is a 5K green race in which energy inputs and waste will be minimized and course markings will be low impact in an effort to minimize the races overall impact on the environment.
This race presents both the challenges of a trail run and the beautiful scenery of Severson Dells Forest Preserve. Runners will scamper through meadows, prairies, forests and over a creek in this environmentally friendly run. No dogs or strollers will be permitted on the race course.
