Description
The race will start and end in front of the Valley Green Inn on the trails of one of Philadelphia's most exquisite parks - Valley Green. As you trot along the trail of Forbidden Drive, you will have a breathtaking view of the beautiful flowing water and falls of the Wissahickon Creek. This event will benefit the Roxborough YMCA and the members of our community. The YMCA believes in building strong familes and strong communities. As a non-profit organization, we specialize in making sure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our Healthy Living Programs. Be a part of this special event to honor our communities commitment to healthy living and social responsibility.
This race will be professionally timed. Medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each age category. Age categories will be broken down into 10 year increments. The first place male and female winners will receive 3 FREE months of membership to the Roxborough YMCA. There will be activites and crafts for the kids, so bring the whole family! Water stops will be available at each mile and refreshments will be handed out at the end of the race. Awards will be given to the first three finishers in each age category. Proceeds from this event will go toward our Strong Kids Campaign Fund.
*Packet pick up will be held at our Roxborough YMCA Branch, 7201 Ridge Avenue 19128, on Friday September 28th from 3pm-8pm, and then again on race day from 7-7:45am.
Event schedule and times
The race will start at 8:00am in front of the Valley Green Inn. The event will officially end no later than 10:00am.
