5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run for kids. Runners of all ages and abilities welcomed.
When? April 28th
Time? 8:00 a.m. for Kids Fun Run, 8:30 a.m. for 5K
Where? Skutt High School, 3131 S 156th St Omaha, NE 68130
Why?
- To "Run/Walk to Remember" loved ones who have died in traffic incidents.
- To "Run/Walk to Remember" the behaviors we should each exercise to keep ourselves and others safe while driving, riding as a passenger, as a pedestrian, and as a cyclist/skateboarder/roller-blader.
- To raise funds to support the mission of Keep Kids Alive Drive 25, a national non-profit based in Omaha, targeting traffic safey education in communities throughout the U.S. Invite family, friends, businesses to sponsor you by donating at www.KeepKidsAliveDrive25.org.
Course
5K "Run/Walk to Remember" begins and ends on the Skutt High School track. In between runners will run on the South Papio Trail which is adjacent to the stadium.
1 MIle Kids "Fun Run" will be run entirely on the Skutt High School track - 4 laps around.
Tee Shirts/Awards/Raffle
- Shirts are guaranteed fon race day for all entries received before April 20th. We'll do a 2nd run if needed
- Ribbons will be awarded to all participants in the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run.
- Plaques will be awarded to the top three male and female overall winners for the 5K. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female age groups winners.
The following age groups will be used: under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus.
Raffle - A raffle will be held the day of the event. Tickets will be $1.00 to $5.00, depending on value of raffle prizes. As of 4/6/12 Prizes include:
- Two Season Tickets for Creighton Men's Basketball
- Two Season Tickets each for Creighton Women's Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer
- Two Henry Doorly Zoo Passes with Accommodations at Hampton Inn/Homewood Suites
- Gift certicificates to Applebee's, Famous Dave's, Vidlak's
- $50.00 Gift Card for Push, Pedal, and Pull
- 3 Month passes to Lifetime Fitness
Additional prizes will be added as the event draws near.

8:00 a.m. - Kids 1 Mile Fun Run on Skutt Track
8:30 a.m. - 5K Start
9:30 a.m. - Awards
