Description
Join us for the 3rd annual Newcastle 5K Run & Walk (this year a part of the Newcastle Days Celebration!), a 3.1 mile jaunt through parks and scenic byways. All levels of runners and walkers welcome for this fun, healthy community event.
This is a scenic 3.1 mile course with rolling hills. The run/walk will finish at Lake Boren Park. The route is on a mix of wide trails and paved road.
Run/Walk will start sharply at 8:30 a.m. Packet pick-up and in-person registration is available at the event on September 10th from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. In-person registrations are by cash or check only.
Awards will be given for the Top 3 Mens and Womens overall finishers, as well as Top 3 Mens and Womens finishers by age group. Age Groups are: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60+
Stay for the post-event fun including music, refreshments, a kid's dash, the awards ceremony and more. Come back to the park with your family and celebrate Newcastle Days in the afternoon!
Race results will be available at the event or online.
Directions to Run/Walk: Turn off Coal Creek Parkway onto SE 84th Way (Olympus Neighborhood entrance). Signage will direct you to parking, adjacent to Lake Boren Park.
