Description
This 5k is to benefit the Newberry College wrestling team. Packet pick-up will begin at 7:45 am and the race will start at 8:30 am. It will start at the baseball field just off College St. on Smith Road and be run entirely on the streets and roads of the Newberry campus. There will be a water stop at approximately 1.55 miles. The first 200 registrants are guaranteed singlet style shirts that depict the Newberry wrestling tradition. Plaques that reflect the shirt theme will be awarded to the following: 1st overall male, 1st overall female, the 1st Newberry wrestler in each of the 10 weight classes, the 1st 3 male walkers, the 1st 3 female walkers, and the 1st 3 male and the 1st 3 female runners ages 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over.
