Description
Run like the Bear is Chasing ya! The Sharon School is hosting their second annual Beat The Bear 5k. Put on your fastest running shoes and see if you can beat the bear! Runners who finish before our speedy bear will receive an "I Beat the Bear" certificate. Awards will be given three deep overall, masters and in standard age group categories. Enjoy the relatively flat scenic route that takes you past farm land and country homes. Runners will be timed by disposable chips. The race will end in The Sharon School parking lot. For the little ones there will be a 1k Cub Run on the school campus. Each Cub Run participant will receive a finishers medal. Preregistrants are guaranteed T-shirt sizes in both the 5k and the Cub run. Race day registrants will be first come first serve for t-shirt sizes.
Event schedule and times
Race day registration and packet pick up begins at 7:30 am. The Cub Run will begin at 8:00. 5k begins at 8:30 am and the awards ceremony will immediatly follow the race.
