The Friends of the UNLV Mounted is a program created to help save the Police horses at UNLV. Community-Oriented policing is their number one assignment, and the UNLV community has become very fond of the horses, "Rebel" and "Pride".
The Foundation Program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas to help fund the Mounted Police Program. The horses have been a major part of community service, UNLV events, as well as regular patrol. The Mounted Patrol Unit not only patrols the campuses of UNLV, but they also mentor several Clark County Schools, they visit schools as guests, and they do demonstrations at community events. The people love the horses, and this program is here to help fund the horses. So, please join the 5K run or the 1.5 mile Walk/Tour and experience the beautiful campus of UNLV. The day events will also include a Health and Wellness Expo, and a Safety Expo. This is a family and pet friendly event. There will be a special "Rebel Pride" Costume Spirit contest for everyone, including pets. So, Bring your "Rebel Pride" Spirit!
There will be many prizes, from dinner tickets to shows. All Registrants will have a chance to win. As well, the UNLV Student Clubs and Organizations will have additional games and prizes, such as raffles with more giveaways.

Health, Wellness and Safety Expo will continue until 12:00 - FREE and open to the Public.
This is a Family and Pet-Friendly event. (Pets must be leashed per NRS.)
