The Houston Rockets invite fans to participate in the 11th Annual Rockets Run 2012 presented by Bowen, Miclette & Britt (BM&M) benefiting USO on Saturday, November 10, 2012. As the Rockets Run tip-off the season we want fans to stay active and in shape while experiencing the thrill of crossing the finish line on the Rockets center-court at Toyota Center. Each 5K runner will receive their official timing with the Disposable Tag System (D-Tag).
The Rockets will host the fifth year of the Kids' 1K which will also finish on the Rockets center-court! Children 12 and under can participate in the abbreviated run course around Toyota Center. Kids can enjoy participating in the Rockets Run with Houston's own, Clutch, the Rockets Bear.
Participants in the Rockets Run can choose to compete in the 5K run, the 2 Mile walk, or Kids 1K. All courses take runners through several blocks of midtown Houston, then turn back toward Toyota Center. The final legs of all the races will go underneath the Tundra Garage and the arena, before emerging on the Rockets home court32 feet below street level.
