Please join us for our 1st annual Giving Hands 5K Starfish Strut/ 1 Mile FUNdraiser Run & Festival. Giving Hands, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed with the intention of raising awareness of, educating the public about and raising money to conduct and support research for children with congenital or acquired limb differences. It is estimated that 1 in 2000 children are born with a limb difference and many more lose limbs to injury or illness. It is our objective to provide those in need with a solution to their hand or limb difference. Our goal through research, diligence, imagination and compassion is to solve the mystery of limb regeneration, which will one day allow us to get a "hand-le" on the missing limb mystery and transform the abnormal to the extra-ordinary!
Event is open to all ages and all runners. We look forward to seeing you there!
Event schedule and times
Registration begins at 7:15 am at Veterans Park at 4800 Valleydale Rd. on June 16, 2012
5K begins at 8:00 am.
1 Mile FUNdraiser Run begins at 9:00 am.
Race Awards Ceremony at 10:00 am
