Self-Transcendence 5K at Flushing Meadows Corona Park
PARK FUNDRAISER: All proceeds go to the benefit of Flushing Meadows Corona Park

THE EVENT: It is our pleasure to offer the first annual Self-Transcendence 5K at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26th, 2011.
Both runners and walkers warmly welcome. The race is organized on behalf of the Park by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team, in appreciation for decades of support.
The main event will be followed by a short fun-run for children 13 years old and under. Registration for the kids' run will be day-of-race only, for $7. Each child will receive a small prize following the fun-run.
•Entry fee: $20 plus free t-shirt (before Oct 31st), $20 (Nov 1st - Nov 24th), $25 (race day)
•Free race T-shirt for participants who register by October 31st
•T-shirts can be purchased for $10 online after Oct 31st or on race day, pending availability
•Medals for top three finishers in each age category
•Trophies to top seven finishers overall
•Aid stations
•Fun run for kids (13 and under) after end of 5K race around 10:30
•Beautiful and historic race setting
