For those registered for the Leprechaun Challenge you can pick up your race goody bag at Outspokin Bicycles in Clearwater Friday, March 15th from 4 pm to 6 pm. 2241 Gulf to Bay Blvd. Clearwater, FL 3376 FiveK Runners should plan to show up at your venue no more than one hour prior to race start so we will see you race morning by 9:30 am (give yourselves time to park). Here is the weekend schedule for the Clover 5K in Palm Harbor, The Shamrock 5K in Dunedin, and the Leprechaun Challenge in both cities that lasts and ENTIRE WEEKEND: Saturday: 8 am registration opens for the Leprechaun challenge with check in at Pop Stansell Park located in Palm Harbor across from the downtown district of Palm Harbor at the corner of 8th Street and Florida Avenue: (797 Florida Ave, Palm Harbor FL 34683) 9 am Leprechaun Challenge begins from bike transition: Cyclists ride north on the Pinellas Trail from Florida avenue north on the Trail through Palm Harbor. They turn around on the Trail at the 4 mile mark and return to Pop Stansell Park bike transition and finish with a one mile run. This is a finishers competition remember its not a RACE against each other so pace yourselves as every Leprechaun gets an award. 9:30 am Registration opens on the stage at Pop Stansell Park for the Clover 5K open. No dogs allowed but baby strollers are welcome
10:30 am: The Clover 5K begins from Pop Stansell Park (797 Florida Ave, Palm Harbor FL 34683) with an out and back on the Trail.
at 11 am All participants are encouraged to head across the street to downtown Palm Harbor to Peggy ONeills at (1026 Florida Ave Palm Harbor, FL 34683) for the outdoor party with free beer, food, and entertainment (keep listening for Celias announcements! She acts like a crazy Leprechaun but she knows where you need to be!) Finishers awards for the Leps and the top 50 males and females in the 5K open can be picked up at Peggys at 11:40 am so join us there!Noon: The Peggys ONeills St. Patricks Day Bash begins and you are invited to stay as long as you like! Well host a free ROOT BEER dash for the fun of it to keep the competition flowing! If you sleep in join us anyway, again the address is: 1026 Florida Ave Palm Harbor, FL 34683.
Event schedule and times
Sunday: 9:30 am Find a place to park downtown and walk down Douglas Avenue to Bausers Tavern parking lot where we will stage the 5K run that begins at 10:30 a.m. Parking downtown is just a short walk down Douglas Avenue but this will give you prime parking as once the race is over after 11 am it will be impossible to find good parking downtown so you are set for a great lunch in the closed streets of downtown Dunedin for the St. Patric festivities.
