Turn awareness into action and join us at the 3rd annual 5k for Earth Day presented by Merchants Banc. This Green event provides a great opportunity for you and your family to enjoy our earths natural environment. The fast and flat course is set in the beautiful Humboldt Park in the heart of Chicago.
This year we are making a concerted effort to reduce the carbon footprint of our event. This of course will require all of us to play a role. Carbon offsets will be the key to accomplishing our goal. Further details to come.
Cash Prizes & Gift Cards for top 3 women/men: Trophies arent green, they're plastic! Who cares about trophies when there are cash & gift cards?
Running Strollers /Dogs
Participants can run with running strollers. These runners will have a 30-second delay from the start of the race in order to contain congestion. Dogs must be on a leash.
Kids Run (ages 4-10): Kids can participate in 100-yard dash after their parent(s) finish!
Post-Race Activities: Enjoy the Farmers Market, watch the kids dash, peruse the tables of our Green sponsors.
