This is more than the typical 5k run and walk. This is the Kick off for the New Xperience Colorado and the inaugural Colorado Healthy Living Expo. All taking place at the Douglas County Events Center in Castle Rock.
Due to the time of year, the course may have changing conditions. So, please plan accordingly. Please no dogs, ferrets or ponies. Strollers will be permitted.
The inaugural FREEZE YOUR BUNS OFF RUN will be a 5k distance and will be chip timed. We are already in the planning stage of adding a 10k distance for 2013.
The course is concrete, utilizing a section of Castle Rocks scenic trails, neighborhoods, and a slight uphill stretch to the finish. Enjoy a fun 5k run, Castle Rocks beautiful topography, views and finish with the indoor Healthy Living Expo.
FREEZE YOUR BUNS OFF participants will be treated to an after run (indoor) yoga and stretch cool down (with Studio Fit), goodie bags, Long Sleeve T-Shirt, Continental Breakfast (provided by Flying Horse Catering) and an EXPO like no other 5k in Colorado.
Results will be posted and the awards table will be located at the Xperience Colorado booth in the Expo area.
Event schedule and times
7:30 am Day of event registration/bib/chip pick-up begins in side of the Douglas County Events Center at 500 Fairgrounds Road in Castle Rock, Colorado (the hub of Douglas County).
9:00 am Start of 5K. PLEASE NOTE, the course closes at 11:00 am and timing will cease. Aid stations: There are NO stations on the course. However, there will be water at the finish. Should you require more water please carry a hydration system.
