START TIMES: 5K run starts at 8:00 am. 2-mile walk starts at 8:05 am
5K COURSE DESCRIPTION: Figure-8 gentle rolling certified course in downtown Bristol. USATF certification code VA10005MS. The race is included in the State of Franklin Track Club King & Queen Competition.
2-MILE WALK DESCRIPTION: Keyhole (out-back-loop) flat certified course. USATF certification code VA10006MS.
5K RECORDS: Male: Will Frye 17:02 (2009); Female: Molly Allen 19:04 (2008)
REGISTRATION & ENTRY FEES: Pre-registration $20.00 before September 16. State of Franklin Track Club members eligible for $1.00 discount if pre-regster. Late registration including day of race: $25.00. Race day registration starts at 6:30 am and ends at 7:30 am at the intersection of State St & Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Mail-in entry form can be downloaded from the Event Calendar of www.RunTriCities.org
SHIRTS: First quality commemorative shirts. Late registrants receive shirts as supplies last. Only the first 700 registered are guaranteed a shirt.
FESTIVAL PASS: All finishers receive one (1) free single-day Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion Festival pass.
5K RUN AWARDS: Top overall, top master (40+), top grandmaster (50+), male & female. Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards. Top 3 in each age group: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
2-MILE WALK AWARDS: Top overall,male & female. Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards. Top 2 in each age group: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
POST-RACE CELEBRATION: Refreshments & awards at intersection of State St & Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Awards will not be mailed.

COURSE ETIQUETTE: We will disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct or is abusive to any race officials or volunteers. No unregistered runners or walkers are allowed on the course. Strollers and dogs are allowed in the 2-mile walk if they start at the back of the pack. No running in the 2-mile walk. If you want to run, please enter the 5K Run and not the walk.
