Join us for Tieg's 5K Walk & Fun Run at the Boulder Reservoir on September 16th, 2012. Proceeds will go to support suicide prevention and awareness at the University of Colorado. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students in the US. With your help we can save young lives!
This untimed event will feature a post race celebration with free food, music, and a raffle with tons of great prizes.
We are also hosting a Silent Auction with most donated items starting at 1/3 or less the cost. The grand prizes listed below will also be auctioned starting at $2500 if this amount is not raised by fundrising efforts.
You can do even more to support this great cause by registering to become a Tieg's 5K Walk and Fun Run fundraiser. Everyone who raises at least $500 will receive a free $50 Patagonia gift card. The top three fundraisers will be eligible to win an incredible thank you gift from our corporate sponsors including a seven-day expedition for two to Churchill, Manitoba, 'the Polar Bear Capital of the World,' (a $13,990 value!), courtesy of Natural Habitat Adventures. Other great prizes include a rafting trip for two, on the Green River, courtesy of OARS, and two VIP tickets to the Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco, courtesy of Superfly Presents. You must raise a minimum of $2,500 to be eligible to win one of these prizes. Other rules and restrictions apply.

Please get to the reservoir before 9AM to avoid the gate fee. Local massage therapists will be volunteering their time so please bring a gratuity if you are interested in a free massage. And remember, glass and pets are not allowed at the reservoir.
Tieg's Foundation is named in honor of Tieg Baker, a beloved and bright 22-year old CU chemical engineering student and football player, who took his own life on June 17th, 2005. Tieg's 5K Walk and Fun Run honors the victims of suicide in Boulder County and the loved ones they have left behind.
