Join us for The RUN LOUISIANA Girls on the Run 5k

A fun and inspiring event for the entire RUN LOUISIANA community on the beautiful grounds of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center!
Men, women, boys and girls of all ages are invited to join us. The event is non-competitive but a clock will be available at the finish line for runners to check their times. Every finisher will receive a custom RUN LOUISIANA Girls on the Run 5k medal.
Thanks in part to the Run Louisiana movement, more than 1200 runners, volunteers and spectators will make the May 5th event one to remember!
Run Louisiana represents the growing community of support for new and experienced runners in Louisiana. The Run Louisiana family is proud to run alongside the 300 local 3rd-8th grade girls who are celebrating the end of their 10-week Girls on the Run season and the amazing volunteer coaches and running buddies who have inspired their journey.
After the race, participants and family members will be treated to a CELEBRATION Pancake Breakfast. There will be music and fun pre and post-race activities for all kids.
•Register online before Friday, May 4th to take advantage of the $20 registration fee. If you would like to support Girls on the Run with a tax-deductible donation to help fund scholarships or shoes for girls in need, you may choose to do so at the time of registration.
•Packet Pickup and Race-day Registration - $25
•Children 7 & under - FREE (with adult entry - must register online)
•Pre-Race Packet Pick-up: Avoid the Race Day Morning Rush!! Come by Varsity Sports on Friday, May 4th from 11:00 to 6:00 p.m. to pick-up your Race Packet.
•Race proceeds benefit the Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge Scholarship Fund - allowing more than 350 girls in need the chance to participate in our 10-week after school program in 2012.

Saturday, May 5th
7:30 a.m. - Festivities begin / Race Day packet pick-up and Registration
9:00 a.m. - 5k start
10:00 a.m. - Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Another Broken Egg. Concert by Baton Rouge Music Studios & other post-race festivities
