Angela and Buck Showalter (and the Oriole Bird) invite you to run or walk for an important cause! Run a great course through the neighborhood of Canton and see the beautiful views of Baltimore from the top of Patterson Park. Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume and enjoy a fun post-race party. Fantastic gift certificates for top runners and age group winners. All proceeds benefit KidsPeace Foster Care and Community Programs of Maryland and Washington D.C.
Entry Fees
$40 for runner registration including the morning of the race. The first 400 registered runners will receive an Under Armour race shirt! T-shirt sizes are available first come, first serve.
As of 10/19/12 t-shirts are still available.
$20 per family to walk. Walkers register at packet pick-up and the the day of the race. Foster families walk for free!
Team Registration: Register to run as a team. Raise funds for foster care youth! The top three fundraising teams win awesome team prizes like a $500 gift card to Langermann's and a wine tasting for 20. To register as a team captain or to join a team, register as an Individual Runner and then follow the directions for team registration.
Snooze Button Runners: If you aren't able to run, please consider being a Snooze Button Runner and "run" from the convenience of your home.
Prizes: Great gift certificate prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Masters as well as age group winners. Dress in costume and win prizes in our costume contest!
Course: Race begins in O'Donnell Square traveling north on S. Linwood Street winding through Paterson Park, ending in O'Donnell Square.
Pets are only allowed during the walk.
Parking is available at DuBurns Arena, Korean Veterans Memorial (Boston and Ellwood) and in the neighborhood surrounding O'Donnell Square.
Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit KidsPeace Foster Care and Community Programs of Maryland and Washington D.C -- including KEYS (KidsPeace Empowering Youth to Succeed) a program which prepares youth for independence through life-skills training.
