Description
The Bull Canyon Run began in 1999. This 5K & 10K Run/Walk is organized by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, whose goal is to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics. This is one of the largest running events on the Central Coast, designed for individuals and families.
The 10K Run starts at 8:00 AM, the 5K Run starts at 8:10 AM and the 5K & 10K Walks leave at 8:15 AM. This year, we will have a .5K Kid's run at 10:00 AM. We have t-shirts for everyone and medals are awarded in age category (gold, silver, bronze) and participation medals for 4th place and higher. The top finisher in each age group for the runs will receive a plaque. Plaques are not awarded in the walker category.
In 2012, we will only register via active.com only. We will pay the active.com fee. Special Olympians do not pay to participate in the Bull Canyon Run. They will need to contact the Special Olympic office in Santa Maria to register. If you have any questions, please contact Ken George via the Bull Canyon Run web site.
