Tour scenic highway 30A and give yourself an excuse to go for that second slice of pumpkin pie with the inaugural 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day race and 1 Mile fun run. Hosted by Hammer Down Multisport, the race both starts and finishes in the beautiful town of Rosemary Beach. The out and back course winds along Scenic Highway 30A offering breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico, Camp Creek Coastal Dune lake and takes runners past pristine beach communities.
Proceeds from the race will be donated to the family of Danny Margagliano. Danny is a South Walton Firefighter/Paramedic who was seriously injured in a accident this past April. After four months of recovery and intensive rehabilitation Danny is home. It is the hope of those organizing this race that money raised from our sponsors and participants will help defer some part of Dannys medical expenses and assist him with his rehabilitation.
The 30A Thanksgiving 10K is limited to 500 participants and 250 participants for the 1 Mile Fun Run. We have ordered t-shirts for everyone. However, we cannot guarantee your size if registered after October 31st 2012.
Prizes will be award to the top finishers of the 10K race for each category, with special prizes awarded to Overall Male and Female race winner.
The 30A 10K is CERTIFIED so your race times can be used as qualifier times for top races across the country.
