Description

The 360 Spring Ahead 5K 10K & Kids Run on Sunday April 15, 2012 is sponsored by Calamos Investments, & begins & ends on the corner of Rt. 59 & Ferry, in Naperville. This event benefits 360 Youth Services (formerly NCO Youth & Family Services). 360 Youth Services has served the western suburbs for 41 years & provides life changing services to youth through prevention education counseling & shelter.


The Kids Run begins at 8:00am, 10K at 8:15a, 5K wheelchair at 8:25a and the 5K run at 8:30a.


NO TRAFFIC IS ALLOWED on the Calamos Investments Campus AFTER 6:00a. Ample parking is available on site behind Hotel Arista after 6:30a. All RACE ROADS CLOSE at 7:30a.


PACKET PICKUP & REGISTRATION

Registration & packet pickup will be available on race day from 6:30-7:30 am. Pre-packet pickup & registration will be available at the Naperville Running Company (34 W. Jefferson Ave., Naperville) on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday, April 14th from 11:00am - 3:00pm.


KIDS FUN RUN

The number of participants for the Kids Fun Run is restricted to 325 runners. The one mile race begins and ends at the entrance to Calamos Investments, and the course is flat.


5K COURSE

The number of participants for the 5K is open. The race begins and ends at Calamos Investments. The course is a flat route with a steep hill over I-88. The turn-around is in front of the Tellabs Headquarters. This is a USATF certified route. Strollers will be allowed on the 5K street run.


10K COURSE

The 10K race will be limited to the first 500 registrants. The course begins and ends at Calamos Investments. The main route runs through McDowell Grove. The course is through forest, prairie & near a river. The trails are dirt, grass & crushed limestone. Expect exposed tree roots & other natural obstacles. NOTE: There may be a course change near the date of the event. Runners will be taken through the back of McDowell Grove & over the dam. If this occurs, this page will be updated.


NO dogs, strollers, bicycles, roller skates or scooters are allowed on the 10K route. This is a USATF certified route.


CHIP TIMED RACE:

The races will be chip timed. Each participant will be issued a timing chip that will be attached to the runners bib


AWARDS:

The overall 1st place male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K will receive $100 cash prize money. The overall winner in the Wheelchair Race will also receive $100 cash prize. The top male and female finishers in the Kids Fun Run will receive a trophy. For the 5K and 10K, the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups will receive a prize. Age groups are as follows: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & older. Overall male and female winners are removed from the age categories.


T-SHIRTS:

All PRE-REGISTERED runners will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. Sizes cannot be guaranteed. T-shirts will be available for race day registrants ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
