IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THIS...YOU DON'T BRING A TEAM, YOU BECOME PART OF A TEAM WHEN YOU CHOOSE A SEC SCHOOL . THE WINNING TEAM ARE THOSE INDIVIDUALS THAT TURN IN THE FASTEST TIMES (SEE OTHER RULES ON THE WEBSITE) AGAIN YOU RACE INDIVIDUALLY AND AUTOMATICALLY ARE ON THE TEAM WHEN YOU PICK AN SEC SCHOOL.

Fans of every SEC school are encouraged to participate.
Run for your favorite SEC school! Choose the 5K or 10K race, and select the SEC school of your choice. We added a 10Miler for those training for the 1/2 marathon. Scoring will be similar to cross country scoring. After the 1st &2nd place OVERALL 5K and 10K male and female times(we will also take into account the 3rd place overall female 5K'er) are recorded, the 1st place athletes will have the option to forego their 1st place trophy to be recorded under the "TEAM" scores....whatever the decision, the 2nd place athlete(or 3rd place in the case of the 5K female winners) will by default become either the overall winner or the "TEAM" player. The schools' participant fan base i.e. the "TEAM" will consist of 5 individuals.... 1 Male &2 Female 5K'ers, 1Male & 1Female 10K'er will be added together and the lowest time total wins the SEC challenge. A minimum of 20km must be from females per team. Overall winners and team winners will receive very nice crystal awards. The will also be medals for 1st and 2nd in each age group for both male and females.

You must list not only the SEC school you run for, but the workplace,business, health club, athletic store, or any other legitimate donor entity you wish to run for. The donor with the largest contribution via cash donation and/or participant race receipts, will have the honor of holding the trophy for one year in their corporate office. Cash donations(outside race registration fees) are to be made to FCA, and are tax deductable
Hopefully each school will be represented!
Sugar Bowl breakfast tickets will be the raffle drawing door prize. Other great prizes in the works!
Free 1 KM. race for everyone, especially the kids at 7:20am . *** 5K Walkers are welcome and will start 5 second behind all runners, but must be aware at all times of runners coming up behind them as the fastest 10K'rs could lap them.
Event schedule and times
630 am registration and packet pickup.
720 am kids 1 K followed immediately with SEC run. at 7:30
7:35 5K walkers start.
10:00 am Awards and recognition and FOOD and Drink!
