Conquer the mountains in your own backyard!
Join fellow trail runners and hikers for Southern California's most exciting new trail race, the 2nd Annual Verdugo Mountains 10K. This event is presented by the City of Glendale's Community Services & Parks Department to benefit the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation. The course begins in beautiful Brand Park and heads steadily upward to one of the highest points in the Verdugo Mountains. Breath-taking views of the L.A. Basin, the San Fernando Valley, and the Pacific Ocean are visible from every turn. And once on top, the 180 degree view of the San Gabriel Mountains is truly spectacular.
First place male and female finishers will receive prize packages. Awards and prizes will also go to the first male and female Glendale finishers. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. There will be a raffle during the awards ceremony so everyone has a chance to win running gear and other great prizes! All particpants receive a free cotton race T-Shirt.
