Brief Description
Join us for the 2012 World's Toughest 10k! This difficult and rewarding run starts near the Sandia Casino and runs up Tramway to finish at the Sandia Peak tram parking lot. Climb more than 1,000 feet total and you will get some of the best views of Albuquerque!
Registration Fees
Register early to save money! Through April 1st, fees are $30 ($27 for our fine military and Albuquerque Road Runner members). Between April 1st and April 14th, they go up $5. Race day registration is $40 for all.
Packet pick-up and late registration
Packet pick-up late registration will be at ABQ Running Shop on Saturday, April 14th from 10-5. ABQ Running Shop is located at 12611 Montgomery Blvd NE, Suite A6-B. While you are there, check out numerous specials that will be going throughout the store.
Race Day Registration
We will have race day registration open starting around 6:45 and going through 7:40. At 7:40, registration will be closed. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. This allows us to start the race right on time at 8.
Course
The race course is extremely scenic and is a great way to take your mind off of the task at hand! We start near the Sandia Casino and wind our way up Tramway. Once Tramway turns directly south, we go left towards the Sandia Peak Tram parking lot. Total elevation gain is 1400 feet. Pace yourself for the last mile! Memorabilia
Yes, we're tired of the same old T-shirts too. All participants will receive custom DeFeet socks. Then, we have some exciting goods in store at the finish line. Earn a gold, silver, or bronze item based on your finish time and age group. Stay in tune as more will be posted shortly.

Additional Information
The race will begin promptly at 8 a.m. Please park at Sandia Resort and Casino in parking lots C and D. Once you are finished, Herrera Coaches is donating their services and will be transporting all finishers back to the start line.
